Nepal is indeed a paradise for birds with over 800 species recorded representing 10% of the world’s population in just a tiny fraction of the earth’s land mass.

Birds we may see include bessa, red-thighed falconet, pale harriers, forksails, many different laughing thrush, hill partridge, warblers, green magpie, yellow and red billed magpie, maroon oriole, white and grey bulbuls, flycatchers, bearded vultures, griffon vultures, Himalayan griffon, black eagle, golden eagle, woodpeckers, re-vented bulbul, kestrels, falcons, flower-peckers, swallows, swifts, blackbirds and sunbirds. Bird watchers should bring their own binoculars.
